Jarnospaldervangundersonsen's Back!

I've been really really bad, and not blogged in ages.

Many things have changed, and many more things have not changed since we last spoke.

One thing thats changed is my learning of Java. A new work project that (hopefully) starts soon will have me working in Oracle Application Developer, coding the front-end of a data-warehouse project... should be fun. I hope. If the politics ever end here.... which they won't.

But I shouldn't blog about me... I've got people for that!

I'm hoping to get back into the flow of posting the weird and wonderful things soon, unfortunately, it probably won't get to the previous levels of postiness that we previously enjoyed.

And now, on with the show...

Personally, I think Katamario is the best.

Flipper Shot Me.

Ok, I wasn't shot... but here is the wierdest news out of the Katrina Mess/Disaster.

Apparently, the US navy had a training compound in New Orleans where they trained dolphins to shoot underwater terrorists with poison darts. The navy isn't saying that their killer dolphins escaped when Katrina came to town...

However, a separate group of dolphins was washed from a commercial oceanarium on the Mississippi coast during Katrina. Eight were found with the navy's help, but the dolphins were not returned until US navy scientists had examined them.

Divers beware. That cute Bottlenose thinks you're Osama.

Monkey Pants

I love BoingBoing. They've got a link up to an eBay auction for Soviet Space Monkey Pants. Yes. The real deal. Here's a snippet.

The monkey's "space pants" are designed with many clasps to fit bigger or smaller monkey.

Awesome!

At one point, Bono went into his political rambling, as he is wont to do (Ok Snev, feel free to critique my English). Here's a quote...

"We have a song to dedicate to this time and we'd like to turn it into a prayer tonight and the prayer is that we do not become a monster in order to defeat a monster...'"

They then broke into Miss Sarajevo, while the text of the Universal Charter of Human Rights scrolled on the video screens. I don't know, I thought it was a heartfelt, insightful thing to say at the time... It looks more cliche in print.

Ahh, and due the fact that the Toronto International Film Festival is on this week, there were a few famous people in the house... including Ray Liotta, Harvey Keitel, and Cuba Gooding in a very cool cowboy hat.

How do I rate this concert?

A 10+.

English as she is spoke

The worst English phrasebook ever written.

With phrases such as : "Have you understand that he says?"
and "It is a noise which to cleave the head."

Enjoy!

Hummer-branded laptop

Joy.

"it is using the same military-grade technology...including Microsoft's XP Professional"

Great, now Bill can think that his OS is military grade.
